Working at JMCC

At JMCC, our staff, students and volunteers work together as part of a collaborative team dedicated to enrich and celebrate the lives of children and youth with disabilities to help abilities grow by providing child focused, family-centred care.

Let our staff tell you why they love working at JMCC:

Stefanie Nawalany

Speech Language Pathologist

"I have been working at the John McGivney Children’s Centre (JMCC) for 11 years. I primarily provide Speech and Language services out in community schools. However, I also provide treatment for stuttering within the preschool population, and I teach Hanen parent-training programs which equip parents with tools to develop their child’s communications skills. The aspect I love the most about my job is the gratification I receive from helping children learn to communicate and to see a child become more confident with their communication abilities. It is also rewarding to have such an impact on a child’s life. Working at JMCC allows me to be a part of an amazing and supportive team of caring professionals."

Beth Reidy

Intake Administrator

"I am very grateful to be part of the John McGivney Children's Centre Team! It is the most welcoming place I have ever worked. I love my role at JMCC because it encompasses some of my favourite things including organization, attention to detail and helping others. The sense of community amongst the staff and with all the families we serve is wonderful. It is very fulfilling to work somewhere that makes a difference in people's lives every single day. There is such a wide diversity of knowledge and expertise here and I find I learn something new from every person I talk to."
