December 15, 2021
The season represents the end of the year, and I know many of us, including myself, take this time for reflection.
I want our community to know how appreciative and impressed I am by the resilience of our staff over the last 20 months through COVID-19 and their flexibility which stems from their continuous focus on providing the best possible services to kids and families, and on supporting each other. I am amazed at how, together, we have continued to do great things during this time.
I want to thank our families. They too are resilient and have been so open to trying new and innovative ways to receive our services. And they love to share their inspirational stories to help us raise awareness of JMCC, and what we do for children and youth with special needs.
I am grateful for our volunteer Family Advisory and Youth Advisory Committees who bring their ideas and the unique voices of our clients forward to help ensure our programs and services are always evolving.
And finally, I want to thank our Windsor-Essex community. Your generous support of our Centre has allowed us to do so many great things for our children. We could not do what we do without you.
During this season, we have been featuring some wonderful stories of our JMCC children and families. I invite you to read them… may they bring you some joy, and lift your holiday spirit: https://jmccentre.ca/news/12-days-of-stories-support-jmcc-this-2021-holiday-season .
Wishing you and yours a joyous and safe holiday season and a very happy New Year!
With deepest gratitude,
Jessica
