Kids supporting kids!

Young philanthropists

Windsor-Essex is a wonderful community with top-notch community spirt! This summer at the John McGivney Children's Centre (JMCC), we have been fortunate to receive donations from some local young philanthropists. We couldn't do what do without our donors and community partners!

Lemonade Stand
Savina, the daughter of JMCC occupational therapist Martina Marcon, and some of her friends from her neighbourhood held a Lemonade stand to raise money for JMCC. Savina and her mom stopped by the Centre to drop off the funds. That day, Savina was appropriately dressed in her lemon sundress! Thank you to Savina, her friends, their parents (especially Martina for leading the charge) and their community for supporting our Centre and the work that we do!

Birthday party
Instead of birthday gifts, John McGivney's great grandson Ethan McClellan asked his friends to make a donation to JMCC for his 9th birthday. Together with his sister Grace and his parents, Ethan came for a tour of our Centre to drop off the donation and learn more about its impact. We are so grateful to Ethan, his family and his party guests for supporting our Centre and the work that we do. We think his great-grandpa would be very proud of him!
