John McGivney Children’s Centre Creating Welcoming Experiences during COVID-19 Vaccine Pop-Up Clinics

The John McGivney Children’s Centre (JMCC) is creating fun and welcoming experiences during the Windsor-Essex County Health Unit COVID-19 Vaccine pop-up mobile clinics. 


Activities include costume characters, gift bags for kids, a colouring contest and a chance to win a family fun gift basket valued at over $500.00.

The JMCC also has a large outdoor playground for children to play while waiting for their vaccine.

  • Where:   John McGivney Children’s Centre, 3945 Matchette Road, Windsor
  • When:  Hero Girl and Hero Boy Costume Characters will be at JMCC Tuesday December 21 from 12-1pm, and Wednesday December 22 from 11am-12pm.   Vaccine Clinics are running December 20, 21, 22 from 9am-4pm.
  • How: Walk-in only. No appointments necessary.
  • Who: Children ages 5 years old and up, including all adults.  Open to everyone in the Windsor/Essex community.
  • What: First, second or a third booster of mRNA vaccines will be available. Flu shots also available.  Translation services offered for those who need it.
