JMCC Summer Camp 2018: Laughter, friendships & joy!

Another awesome summer of JMCC Camp has come to an end! It was truly a wonderful summer and it would not have been possible without our amazing group of camp counsellors! 

Reflecting on their summer, the counsellors recalled some of their favourite parts of working at Camp: hearing the children’s laughter and seeing their faces light up with pure joy as they took on each new experience; kids forming bonds, relationships and friendships with each other; appreciating each kid’s unique needs and figuring out how to meet those needs; learning how to pick up non-verbal communication cues and so much more!

The counsellors feel very privileged to have met and worked with so many wonderful kids this summer. From the campers, they have gained a new appreciation for life a further understanding of the importance of keeping a positive attitude no matter what. They are proud of how they worked together all summer as a team, facing challenges head on, developing solutions together and celebrating successes! 

Overall, Summer 2018 was one for the books where all involved embraced each other's unique qualities and abilities, showed off their silly side and formed relationships to last a lifetime!
