Celebrating Occupational Therapy Month

October 29, 2021

Group Shop JMCC Occupational Therapists

October is National Occupational Therapy (OT) Month and a time to ecognize the important work our JMCC OTs do in helping our children and youth overcome physical, mental and cognitive barriers. With the help of our OTs, they can participate fully in the activities that mean most to them.

Occupational Therapists help solve problems that interfere with a person's ability to do everyday things like:

  • Self-care - getting dressed, eating, moving around the house,
  • Being productive - going to work or school, participating in the community, and
  • Leisure activities - sports, gardening, social activities.
Meet our OTs, and learn a little more about who they are, what they do, and just as importantly why they do it!
