Call for Expression of Interest: Family Engagement Consultant

The John McGivney Children's Centre (JMCC) provides family-centred holistic care to the community, enriching the lives of children and youth with special needs by helping them reach their full potential. We are a Centre of hope, support and inspiration for children with special needs and their families; working together toward a future of participation, acceptance and opportunities.

JMCC is seeking expressions of interest from members of the community for a Family Engagement Consultant. The Family Engagement Consultant will provide peer support to families associated with JMCC. They will be available to consult with families and connect them with Centre and community supports. They will provide input and assist with assessing gaps and barriers to services and recommend ideas for improvements. They may be part of working groups and committees initiated by JMCC related to family engagement. The FEC will organize and host events and activities supporting family engagement and provide support and input around new and existing programs.

The Family Engagement Consultant will have prior experience accessing services at JMCC for their dependents. Interested individuals are invited to email hr@jmccentre.ca, outlining their experience and interest, before March 30, 2021.
