The John McGivney Children’s Centre (JMCC) is a provider of innovative services to children with disabilities. We are a centre of hope, support and inspiration, working together toward a future of empowerment, participation, and opportunity.
JMCC is seeking expressions of interest from members of the community for a 12- month contract as a Family Engagement Consultant (FEC). As someone with lived experience raising a child with disabilities, the Family Engagement Consultant will work approximately 15 hours per week providing peer support to families associated with JMCC. They will be available to consult with families and connect them with Centre and community supports. They will provide input and assist with assessing gaps and barriers to services and recommend ideas for improvements. They may be part of working groups and committees initiated by JMCC related to family engagement. The FEC will organize and host events and activities supporting family engagement and provide support and input around new and existing programs.
The Family Engagement Consultant will have prior experience accessing services at JMCC for their dependents.
