Applications for the Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) for Children under the age of 18 and for adults with a valid Disability Tax Credit (DTC) certificate will open on June 27, 2024.
 
Eligible Clients need to apply for CDCP through the online application. Individuals that are unable to apply using the internet are invited to apply by contacting the CDCP call center at 1-833-537-4342.
 
The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) will help cover a wide range of oral health care when recommended by an oral health provider including:

  • preventive services, including scaling (cleaning), sealants and fluoride
  • diagnostic services, including examinations and x-rays
  • restorative services, including fillings
  • endodontic services, including root canal treatments
  • oral surgery services, including extractions

To be eligible for the CDCP, people need to:

  • be a Canadian resident for tax purposes;
  • have filed their taxes for the previous year;
  • have an adjusted family net income of less than $90,000 per year; and,
  • not have access to private or employer/pension sponsored dental coverage.
