Friends of the Centre

The John McGivney Children's Centre (JMCC) Friends of the Centre award was first introduced in June 2005 by the Board of Directors to recognize outstanding contributions by individuals and organizations that support the work of JMCC and positively impact the quality of life for children and youth with special needs and their families. After being retired for several years, the award was proudly resurrected in 2025 and is once again presented at the Annual General Meeting to honour exceptional community support and partnership.

Veronica Friesen

2008

Ms. Veronica Friesen, a Civil Technologist with the Windsor Utility Commission and a valued member of the Building Committee, was presented the award for her expertise, time and assistance with our capital project. Veronica is sincerely appreciated by the members of the Committee and by the Board and staff of the Centre.
Her commitment to the Centre and the children and families we serve is greatly appreciated!

Roger Bryan

2008

Mr. Roger Bryan first became involved with the Centre in 2005 when KPMG staff volunteers, including Ms. Cynthia Swift and Ms. Kim Zimmerman, attended the Centre as volunteers as part of KPMG's Annual Volunteer Day.

Roger offered his assistance following that volunteer day in 2005, and the Centre Board and staff continue to benefit from Roger’s expertise and assistance yearly. We greatly appreciate Roger’s expertise and commitment to the John McGivney Children’s Centre and the children and families we serve.
