The JMCC Entry to School Autism Program is now accepting registrations for March 2024 for the Windsor-Essex region.

This program supports autistic children to develop school-readiness skills and provides transition supports as they enter school for the first time.

To participate in this program, your child must be:
•    Registered in the Ontario Autism Program (OAP)
•    Between 3-6 years old as of December 31 in the year they are starting school
•    Starting kindergarten or grade 1 for the first time

Please note, children who have already started school are not eligible for this program.

If you have questions, or for more information, please contact the John McGivney Children's Centre Entry to School team:

Phone: 519-252-7281 ext. 593
E-mail: EntrytoSchool@jmccentre.ca

The program includes two main parts: First, children complete a 6-month, half-day group-based skill building program focused on helping children develop school readiness skills. Second, families and educators can access consultation services from Entry to School staff, as needed, during a child’s first 6 months in school.
