New to JMCC?

Welcome to JMCC!

At JMCC, we help children and youth who need support with moving, learning, speaking, or everyday activities. Our team works with families to help each child grow, learn, and reach their goals. We are here to support you every step of the way.

At JMCC, we offer different services to help children and youth with physical, developmental, or communication needs. Our team includes therapists, doctors, educators and other professionals who work together to support your child. We provide therapy, medical clinics, help with equipment, and programs to get your child ready for school and daily life.

We also support families by helping you understand your child’s needs and connecting you with other services in the community. Our goal is to help every child grow, learn, and reach their full potential. The two main ways our therapy programs are delivered are in the Community and at Schools.

Community-Based Rehabilitation Services (CBRS)

CBRS is for babies, toddlers, and children/youth who are not in school yet, or who need therapy outside of school. Therapists provide treatment in our state of the art Centre or they can visit your home, daycare, or other community places. They help with things like:

  • Learning to move, crawl, walk, or use equipment like walkers
  • Playing, learning new skills, and communicating
  • Doing daily tasks like eating, getting dressed, or using the toilet

Families can access CBRS services by submitting a Request for Service or by being referred by another health care provider or community partner.

School-Based Rehabilitation Services (SBRS)

SBRS is for students who need therapy at school. Therapists work with teachers and school staff to help children do their best in the classroom and during the school day. They can help with:

  • Using classroom tools or devices
  • Moving around the school safely
  • Talking or using other ways to communicate
  • Self-care skills like using the washroom or putting on shoes

Therapy happens during the school day, and we make sure your child’s therapy fits into their learning and daily routine.

Families can participate in our SBRS services by being referred by their teacher or another therapist in their school.  If you have any questions, please contact your child’s teacher or your school’s principal.
