Youth Advisory Council

Empowering Youth to Share Their Voice and Shape JMCC

The Youth Advisory Council (YAC) gives JMCC clients a platform to speak up, share their experiences, and help shape the future of the Centre. This group is made up of young people who receive or have received services at JMCC and who want to make a difference in their community.

YAC members meet regularly to share ideas, provide feedback on programs, and help guide decisions that affect youth at the Centre. By listening to their perspectives, JMCC ensures that its programs, spaces, and services reflect the real needs and priorities of the young people it serves.

Who Can Join

The Youth Advisory Council is open to current and former JMCC clients, typically between the ages of 12 and 25, who are interested in advocacy, leadership, and making a positive impact. The group is welcoming, inclusive, and supported by JMCC staff throughout the year.
