Connecting Families, Building Community
At JMCC, we know that families are at the heart of everything we do. Our Family Engagement Consultant, Irfana F. Baig, helps ensure that family voices are heard and valued across all areas of the Centre. She supports families by sharing information, listening to concerns, creating new resources, and working closely with JMCC staff to improve programs and services.
Irfana brings over 23 years of personal experience as a parent of a child with cerebral palsy, quadriplegia, and hearing loss. Her son received services from JMCC throughout his development, giving her a deep understanding of the challenges and strengths that families bring to the journey. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Science and Education and has volunteered extensively with community organizations.
In addition to her professional role, Irfana offers support in multiple languages. She speaks Hindi, Urdu, Telugu, and English, and understands Punjabi and Arabic—helping her connect with families from diverse cultural backgrounds.
Her goal is to foster a welcoming, inclusive community where caregivers feel supported, validated, and empowered to share their ideas and experiences. Whether you’re new to JMCC or have been part of our family for years, Irfana is here to listen, support, and help you navigate your journey.
