JMCC named finalist for WERCC Pillar of our Community Award!

It is with great pride that we announce that the John McGivney Children's Centre (JMCC) is a finalist for the Windsor Essex Regional Chamber of Commerce (WERCC) Business Excellence Award (BEA) for Pillar of our Community! 

Following a nomination from a community member, we participated in the application process which included a written application, letters of support from community partners and a site visit from BEA19 committee members. The finalists for the award were announced at an evening reception on Jan. 9. We are in good company with our fellow finalists In Honour of the Ones we Love and the Multi-Cultural Council of Windsor-Essex. 

Being named as a finalist for this award brings with it many opportunities for JMCC to share with the community the breadth of our work, our amazing staff and our wonderful client families. The winner of the award will be announced at the Business Excellence Awards on April 24, 2019 at Caesars Windsor. 

Award criteria: The Pillar of the Community Award recognizes a registered not-for-profit organization, philanthropic organization, or person that has made an outstanding contribution to the social, cultural or economic well-being of the Windsor-Essex area. This nominee positively impacted the community, and demonstrated best business practices.  In addition, their business mission/objective/goals of the organization reflect a community need that has a clearly defined strategic plan.
