Moramos Shrine Club Donations Top $50,000 to the John McGivney Children’s Centre

November 30, 2022

Group wearing matching shirts and red fezzes presents $5000 check to masked woman indoors.

The Moramos Shrine Club members presented a cheque to the John McGivney Children’s Centre (JMCC) this morning, bringing their total donations to $55,000.00.

“We are extremely grateful,” said Jessica Sartori, JMCC CEO. “The Moramos Shrine Club has been donating to JMCC for 10 years, allowing us to purchase much-needed equipment. In addition to supporting our accessible playground Play McGivney, their donations supported our telemedicine system, providing remote education and training opportunities for our staff, and saving us significant dollars. This system was also used for a number of consult appointments for our clients with specialists in London and beyond. The convenience this gave our families is immeasurable.”

“The Shriners are for kids. That’s what we’re all about,” said George Minto, President Moramos Shrine Club. “We’ve been proud supporters of JMCC and the great work they do since 2012.”
