Meal Masters: Build Life Skills, Friendships, and Confidence This Summer at JMCC

June 17, 2025

JMCC Meal Masters Life Skills Program for youth 13-21 with disabilities on social and meal skills.

Are you a young person with a physical or developmental disability between the ages of 13 and 21? Are you interested in making friends, learning new skills, and gaining more independence?

The JMCC Life Skills Program is back this summer with Meal Masters—a fun, supportive, and engaging three-day program focused on real-life skills like:

•    Preparing simple meals
•    Grocery shopping
•    Budgeting
•    Building social connections
•    Gaining independence

This program is designed for youth who are able to communicate their needs, follow instructions, and participate without personal care or behavioural support. A brief assessment will be completed in advance to ensure the program is a good fit.

To sign up or learn more, contact Laura Spencer at 519-252-7281 ext. 246 or laura.spencer@jmccentre.ca by June 27th.
