The Ontario Ministry of Children, Community & Social Services is modernizing Early Intervention and Special Needs Services to improve outcomes by connecting children, youth and their families to quality services as early as possible, in an efficient and streamlined way. The ways to do this are:
• a clear entry point – “Main door, no wrong door”;
• streamlined, seamless, coordinated connections and experience;
• families not being required to share the same information again with each new service provider;
• working with community partners using a local approach
