Parenting Support for JMCC Families: Trust-Based Relational Intervention®

When: January 17, 2022

Time: 6:30 PM - 7:30 PM

Where: Virtual

Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI)® is an attachment-based, trauma-informed intervention that is designed to meet the complex needs of children who have experienced adversity, early harm, toxic stress, and/or trauma.  Because of their histories, it is often difficult for these children to trust the loving adults in their lives, which often results in perplexing behaviors.  TBRI® offers practical tools for parents, caregivers, to see the “whole child” and help the child reach their highest potential.  While the intervention is based on years of attachment, sensory processing, and neuroscience research, the heartbeat of TBRI® is connection.

JMCC would like to introduce TBRI™ Caregiver Training to parents whose children have experienced surgeries, hospital stays, intrusive medical procedures etc., and are experiencing emotional, behaviour and social difficulties.   We are offering a 1-hour virtual information session on January 17 from 6:30-7:30 over zoom.  If there is enough interest from parents, JMCC will host this training free of charge.  To sign up for this 1-hour information session please contact Reception at 519-252-7281 ext. 0.
